Racing clutches are different than Street setups.

Racing types clutches never need to be broken in, but giving that type of advice to a daily driven clutch is not the best.

Cool This is all interesting...

...However, the proper answer is this: Check with the Manufacturer. Then do as a few others have mentioned and CHECK THE PEDAL FREE PLAY!

As to the comments about street vs. racing clutches... I guess it depends on the defenition of a race clutch. I use a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch in my Datsun 260Z, equipped with a T56, and a 383 stroker SBC making 540HP, running 10.98s in the 1/4 and I NEVER broke it in, ran it in Washington DC rush hour traffic, and pretty much drove it hard from install for two years... i've got the clutch and presure plate here in my garage, waiting to put it all in the new project, and the kit looks like new... Even survived a few 3rd gear pull offs from red lights (Thanks to my loevly wife not being used to the T56) and it still has near new clutch material surface.

I'd also take the above posters advice on being C-L-E-A-N while installing the new or any parts... Brake cleaner is your friend and should be used in wiping off all surfaces before they are installed...
