i will be starting my 5 speed swap on my 90 N/A vert auto

for all of u that have done it have u ran into a problem that had u stumped for awhile??? i only have a week (5 days) to go from auto to 5-speed and only working on it about 2-3 hours a day.

also any one know the measurements for the crossbeam i will need for the tranny mount i have someone who can make it for me but i need to know the size of it and where the holes will need to be drilled (pics would also be nice) and any tips on the pedel ***. i heard it was a bitch)
thanks goes out to all who reply with help

-Shawn

edit: please post replies asap cause my puter is going back for repairs tomorrow (the 18th) and i don't know when its gonna be fixed.

I did the same procedure, but on an 88 about a year ago. For the crossmember, I do not have any measurments but I do have a a few pics that might help. The pedal assembly was not to bad, just get the whole thin from a junk yard. t would almost be easier to take the whole dash out because it was a pain in the *** to get the old one out. But good luck with it. Now I will try and post some pics, it never seems to work for me. Marc

Oh yeah the wiring kinda sucks too, but if you get a manual wiring harness that would probably be a lot easier. Marc

ok new Q, the pedal assembly.

i have the clutch pedal and from what it looks like there is a bar under there for it to go on. the ? is will that bar come out so i can but the pedel on r do i need the the bracket under there, and if so will one from an 88 work ???? (its the only rx7 i can find in a junk yard and i am still not sure if it was a 5-speed r not 'no tranny in it r engine' )
