Well, I do plan on racing her on the track. But when I get to that point I'll be putting a different engine and tranny in it... hopefully...

heh, so you downgraded from a 255 walbro to a cosmo tt pump? ok. i'm starting to doubt what you said in the other thread.

to the op. FC coils are the best you can get for a rotary. check your wires and plugs. ditch that pump and find a pick and pull. best bet you could probably get a n/a pump for $10 in the FS section.
the denso pump thats in the car is a 380, so how is that a down grade and 2 there are 2 differnt 255 pumps. a high presure pump and a normal. the high presure is a upgrade for the na cars the normal is the turbo pumps. now with all that said just because the fuel pump can flow that amount of fuel at set psi does not mean the injectors will be forced to consume that much fuel. remember these are return systems and the motor will only consume the amount needed for set tune. and ya ill take 45

the pump is also known as the supra tt upgrade pump. with the 255 the car would start to starve at the top end. swapped to the denso pump and my starving problem went away. the 255 was only about 1000 miles old

you said cosmo tt, cosmo tt and supra tt are different cars. i know what the denso 1020 pump is capable of but i also don't think it is anywhere near 380 liters per hour. 296 liters per hour at 14 volts, unless you are running a boost-a-pump.

i was mistaken by the output, i had gotten the pump from dewitt racing. anyways this pump is an upgrade for the supra tt and the 20b cosmo. its kinda a big body pump and is a bit tricky to get into a fc but it does work very well. slightly whinny but way quieter to my other option of a 044 or a a1000. anyways sorry for calling it a cosmo pump , just there are a few people who refur to it as a cosmo upgarade and a few who call it a supra upgrade. https://w3ihscnet.commercebox.com/~d...roducts_id=126

yea, they are big but they fit ok. my main point is the walbro is too much flow for a stock n/a car. the additional volume will increase the pressure at the fuel rail and produce a mixture too rich for the car resulting in less power and worse fuel economy unless he has a standalone or piggy back to tune fuel with.

well when i ran that pump, stock ecu , just a header and hks 60mm cat back and hks megaflow i never saw any differance in milege or rich condition. the car acutaly ran better with that pump then with the stocker. my fuel presure never rose over stock level,,,,, i had and have a nice electric autometer fuel presure gauge in the car,,,,, about the only thing that may happen is a rise in fuel temp due to the amount of cycling of the unused fuel.

Ok, I have a new problem. I can keep her running as long as I play with the throttle. From my experience that sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere. Could I have a bad Air Bypass Solenoid Valve, or a bad Bypass Air Controle Valve?

Im not worried about Hydro Carbons due to higher fuel temps. I do plan to race the car next year but want to take it on my Honeymoon this fall...
