I'm sure there are alot of people who have had good experiences with them. One point that is not mentioned here is: All the JSPECS are at least 10 years old now. They are used engines, You don't think that there is a hard-core group of enthusiasts in JAPAN thaat don't need new motors? What about the guys from NZ and the Aussies?
There is not an unlimited pool of engines to pull from. These motors are not guarenteed or confirmed to be low milage. Very few importers even have them in STOCK. Go ahead, call around.

Opps, I am sorry. I missed that in your email. We just hand another inquiry
on the RX7, must have gotten the emails mixed up.
We haven't seen the earlier RX7 motors for over 8 months now, I don't think
we will be getting them in any longer.
You might want to try -www.jpsecjdm.net
Tell them JDMCars sent you please.

Ryan, I emailed a request for a motor and that was THEIR replay to me. THEY DONT HAVE ANY AND DON'T SEE ANY COMING IN.
Please post their number so I can call them. I would love a 550 CORE.

BUT THEY SAID THEY DON'T F$^&$ HAVE ANY!

Quick Informal Poll:
Nippon-Motors: 3 86-88 in stock 750
FC3S.org: NIS
Libero: NIS
Order UP Imports: Checking with Distributor
JTZENTERPRISE.Com: Not importing anymore
JDMCARS.Com: NIS, not expecting anymore

Of 6 importers/distributors contacted, only 3 "confirmed" 86-88 engines in stock. So maybe only 1 or 2 of them are good based on reported experiences here.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

Yeah I blew my motor then bought all that ****. That would make sense. C'mon man get real. The J-Spec that I just blew had excellent compression on both rotors, and didnt burn a drop of antifreeze. Didnt flood, started right up ALL THE TIME and idled perfect, after adjusting a few things. The motor dying was all of my fault and had nothing to do with it being a J-spec used motor. I was watching the road instead of my boost guage. A $3000 rebuild would have popped under the same circumstances. Glad it wasnt a Pineapple motor.

I dont seriously think that will happen, it would be nice, but extremely un-profitable.

Yeah, let Kevin build your engine for you, he's good enough to not need a warranty If I had the cash to send it out, I'd have him do my engine instead of me screwing it up so many times (tho I think I finally managed to get it right this time)

Now $1500 and a warranty is still better then the competition. Even with shipping. Which is what I was trying to say in the first place.... If you offered that, you may get some more buisness. I would consider having you mentally evaluated if you went $1000 and a warranty...

Remember, its NOT for me...All I am doing is the grunt work for someone elses car. This has NOTHING to do with what I want.

Plus my car runs, and quite well may I add.
