I looked at this car during the auction.
Even though you got a great deal, It's going to need a lot of DIY fix ups.
The window switch is a good example. The contacts get dirty, but can be cleaned.
My favorite is CRC QD Contact Cleaner from Home Depot.
If you haven't already - read the FAQ's & sticky threads at the top of this forum.
Then, before tackling a fix, search for forum for what others have done.
You're not alone.
You can download & print from the manuals at the link in my sig.

no way you look at it in the auction? it's wierd what happend, I dident even bid on the thing. my wife e-mailed the winning bidder saying congrats, and the guy mails back saying, "If you want it you can have it contact the owner" so we bought it from the seller. stupid guy, wins and dosent pay, how rude. but it worked out great for me. thanks for the input guys. keep it comming if you want

I remember that one on auction. It was a good deal. I like the factthat it has a rebuilt motor by a rotary mechanic and a great paint job! You are never gonna spend that kinda money and not have a few diy repairs. All in all you did good and you got yourself a classic s4 T2. Welcome aboard and never ever be afraid to ask questions.
