Even though the thread is a year old its still good info. Porting threads are always fun to read.

I think it's funny that most people are quick to say bridge porting reduces mileage down to 30k, but most people who have bridge ports say otherwise. I like the half bridge idea for the 6 port engines. I'd just love to have that "cammin" sound at idle.

if I was staying N/A I would but I think my motor is eating coolant so I need a motor quick.... cheaper to buy j-spec then to buy a new N/A motor

plus more power....

A j-spec motor will not give an increase in power, they are rated at the same HP as the USDM engines.

I wouldn´t think a usdm N/A vs a JDM turbo would have the same amount of power....

that is what my comment was about

N/A vs turbo

know the specs for turbo vs turbo though are the same

Does a street Port really reduce life ?

Does a street Port really reduce the life of an engine? I know a bridge port would but I have heard from some that a street port doesn't reduce the life of an engine, and in a tII may increase the life a little? (no flames please) I actually had a rotary shop tell me that. I was thinking about street porting my tII motor....?
