you've got a voltage gauge on your car? Dang.. mine doesn't have one.
And don't S5's have a better PD than S4's? I thought S5's fixed the problem.
I would check all the easy stuff first like fuel lines and what not, before I went to the PD

WOW!! So that puts an end to the myth that the "S5 fixed that problem"!
Sorry to hear you had this problem, but thankfully you caught it in time. There's NO excuse not to carry a fire extinguisher with anyone's rx7 just in case, and this has convinced me.

Clearly this happens less to the S5 pd's so something must be a little better. However, everyone on this forum should know not to trust any of these given their track record. I'm also glad you caught it in time as I found out about the leaking pd problem the hard way. Ditto on the fire extinguisher!

OK, this thread is getting kinda long.
YES WE KNOW THE S5 PD CAN FAIL NOW.
Now we gotta come up with a good way to NEVER EVER let this happen to a forum member again.
Goto this thread and let's start thinking of PD alternatives (and help me out too ) : https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=95413

Someone once suggested that you take a piece of vacuum hose, and attach it to the PD (s4 is a lot easier to do.... but prolly can on s5 also), and run it back to spray on the driver's side at the ground or something... so if it DOES leak, it doesn't get on the exhaust manifold...
