When I said stash it somewhere, I was thinking along the lines of a garage he or family owns, not to pay more money for it!

I guess I don't get it, maybe I am just a bit more patient about stuff like this. It took me a long time, but I've already got the house and the FC, and it definitely is tough paying for both. That's why it stays laid up for weeks if I'm waiting for parts, etc. When all is said and done, I wouldn't be surprised to have something near that $ amount into my FC as well. I can say, property is still a bit cheaper here than what you are looking at...that certainly can't help. I've done the apt. thing too, that blows when you want to work on your own car. You might even say I bought a house, simply for the garage! Save up, buy a house, and take out a huge home equity loan to finance your FC insanity!

I can relate to the aquarium thing too, that definitely adds up, and can be addictive in its own way. I try to curb the expense by going with freshwater fish, a bit lame, but its cheaper and less trouble, and you can still have a nice little setup. I bet you went with a marine tank though, those can put quite a dent in the wallet.

My FC I bought with cash from selling my l337 Jeep last summer.I sold my Jeep for $3300, bought the FC for $1500, and spent the rest on a trip to Germany (where I got my current nickname, which is Jager, from a drink I happen to like , FYI I used to be a drunk).

The car got hit and the catch is that I have alot of **** that I have to spend money on at the moment (college, rent coming up, trips to see my gf <3), and the fact that I'm buying a truck in September doesn't help alot (turbo diesel baby).

So money is really tied up in all aspects for the time being. But my friend might hook me up with fixing alot of the stuff for free or little to no costs.


Also selling the car is something I've hand in mind for the past few months. I kinda want to move in V8 status (omfg!). Like a Mustang, F-Body, or a classic muscle car. Its just because I've been around piston engines more and can tear one down in my sleep. Rotaries are something I've learned alot about, but I'm still a n00b when it comes to certain things.

I hope that explains this a little bit more.

I have parked mine for a year before. That was before I figured out that I needed more than one. Now I have four, two are on the road currently = no problems. RETed you cant be serious.
