gas mileage

I still can't get my gas mileage to be normal. PLEASE HELP!!!

Here are the things that i have done:

1. o2 sensor
2. plugs
3. wires

I checked the TPS, i think it may be bad but somebody told me that wouldn't effect my gas mileage. Where is the AIR Temp Sensor? I tried getting codes from the ECU but i am not getting anything. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO? by the way i am only getting like 10mpg

This may sound obvious, but it's possible that you have a fuel leak.I started getting around 10 mpg when my pulsation damper started leaking. Also, you should probably replace your fuel filter, but even if it was clogged, it shouldn't make milage worse.Good luck.

The TPS can indeed affect your mileage. Think about it for a sec...if the ECU thinks you are at higher throttle by the incorrect TPS reading, your ECU will pump out more fuel than you really need. I would check the TPS just to make sure. Also check out the things listed above. Might also be a stuck open injector? When did you have them cleaned last? Dirty injectors can affect mileage alot if they are really dirty.

Yeah, but I've run with a screwy TPS and I've always got the same 25 mpg on the highway regardless of how it's set.

Just start going over all the pieces in your fuel system. FC's are old so you may want to either get new injectors, or clean the ones you've got. While you're in there do something about the fuel rails. Replacing the lines may be a good idea and the fuel filter is a must, I change mine every 10k miles. Change your spark plugs too.

While you've got the fuel pump disconnected check the compression. A low compression motor will get worse gas milage.

Your cat may be clogged.

Um, I can't think of anything else.
