Fuel pumps:GPH, LB/hr, LPH..ahhhhhh

Man, I've been reading through as many fuel pump threads as I can. And you know what? None of them really come to any conclusions. Every one says use the Walbro 255 or no no no the bosch, god knows what, model. Or yeah bosch but not this model..use this one, the other isn't meant for that.

Ok seriously, what fuel pump will provide the best flow for a 400hp (engine) application. I really like bosch..but really which pump? Model #'s please and if you know the best place to get one..let use know that too. If you think the walbro is best...please state why?

Lastly what about stuff like twin walbro pumps (intank). And what size fuel line (stock or -an)? Please guys..do the right thing and end the confusion.

Anyone of the listed pumps would be sufficient for 400 hp... or your aeromotive idea as well.

If you need gph/lbph/lph conversions, I can give you the formulas.

stock fuel line size is fine, but if you want to go braided ss -AN lines, this is the way to go:

cruise around the entire fuel section on this page.

in fact, cruise around the ENTIRE page if you already haven't.

400hp requires about 145L/hr of fuel. So you want a pump rated at about 200L/hr, so a Walbro 255 more than adequate.

BTW, 200L/hr = ~53gal/hr = ~330lb/hr

If you did a web search, it all pops out.

Why are you worried about double Walbro fuel pumps???&nbsp Are you planning on running more than 600hp or something???&nbsp This has been known to support 700hp+ JZA80 Supras!

Good Deal! You Never cease to amaze me.
Tell me:
- do you know of a good place to make a custom 2 or 3 rotor e-shaft? (2 rotor for no flew at high rpms.)
- how would one go about fitting a bearing into the intermediate housing for use with the two piece custom e-shafts?
- for fitting of extra dowel pins, what would you do?

I love you?

I haven't been keeping up with the tech, but I think Guru Motorsports offers this?&nbsp That guy that used to spam all the posts isn't around anymore...

Look at your existing dowels - just add more of them.
