fuel pump issues.
ok so the fuel sending unit went out in my 88 N/A vert. fuel pump still works fine. (only reads half full and up)
i have a TII lying around so i took out the fuel pump unit and switched sending units onto my vert.
atfer i switched the fuel sending unit i decided to check the connections with a meter..
when i tested the TII unit everything seemed fine.
but when i checked my vert unit there seemed to be a problem
when i took my multi meter and put one end on the + connector i put the other on the fuel pump + and it made the beep telling me theres a good connection.. but when i put it on the - side it still made the same beep as if the + and - were toucing somehow.. i dubble checked the TII unit and it only beeps when i touch the + side with the + wrie on the connector
whats up with this? sorry kinda hard to explain

The TII pump flows more than the NA pump, so putting it in would result in even richer AFRs. Something you don't need.
I read over your multimeter test description a few times, and it sounds like you just proved that there is continuity between the + & - terminals on the fuel pump. If there wasn't continuity between them, the pump wouldn't run. There is no internal switch on the pump that turns it on and off; that is all controlled by relays in the car.

^ exactly what i was saying theres continuity between the + and - terms on the pump.
i tested this method on the TII's fuel pump and got nothing. so does this mean the TII's fuel pump has gone bad?
