Fuel Pump Install

I have a Walbro 255lph pump on the way but I don't even know how to put it in. Oh, and I've read that I should re-do some wiring? Let me know. I'm installing full exhaust, TID, 680cc inj, and adding more boost soon.

Fuel pump is the easiest upgrade I think. Well that or a cone filter, not sure. Just pull up your carpet in the back. Look on the drivers side for a little cover that un-bolts and comes off. After that its pretty much self-explanatory. Just replace whats there with what you have Alot of people rewire it at this time as well. You can see if you need to by seeing how much power is getting to your fuel pump at WOT.

When testing voltage, can I just have the key on and WOT or do I have to be driving?

I believe you need to have someone else test it while you are driving and all other factors come into effect. I never rewired mine though, so I'm not 100% on that. Try searching if you haven't already.

Putting on the fuel pump was pie, because pie > cake. Anyways, mine came with instructions, and I just followed it and didn't encounter any problems. I did go buy a $10 fire extinguisher beforehand just in case. If you drive an RX7, you should have one of those anyways.

Oh, what should be observed as far as voltage goes. Should it go up at WOT or stay the same. Ya, I know it shouldn't go down.

to test the voltage you should be driving around with headlights / stereo / and heater on.. to give the electric system a full load.

and it should be tested at WOT. because under cruise the voltage is only 9v anyways
