Fuel pump hanger disassambly question

Anyone know if and how the black terminals can ne removed from the hanger mount? The nuts are removed from the back but they still feel solidly attached; and i dont want to break them.

Id like to get them off so i can sandblast....its an 86 hanger and pump assembly. Thanks!

the plastic is an epoxy material of sorts, i guess it keeps water out and fumes and fuel in

tape around it as I dont think there is any possible way to remove it without breaking it off.

the nuts only hold the wiring on, they dont hold the terminals in place
