Fuel Pump for FC

My brother is the one with the RX-7 right now till the deal comes through on my FD, so I have a question for him. His FC was purchased with Street Ports, larger injectors, he thinks they are 525 primaries, and 720 (or so) secondaries. He also has a TBE, intake, and no power steering or a/c. He is looking to turn the boost up to 12 psi, and wants to know, if the stock fuel pump is good enough, or if he needs another. What is suggested for it? Thanks.

He should upgrade to a walbro fuel pump and also get a fuel cut defender. Also 12 psi may be pushing the limits of the stock intercooler if IIRC.

I think he should get a supra pump. It is far more reliable and better for the future should the need arise to make 400hp or so You can pick one up at a yard for around 120 or so for a low mileage one. Of course the walbro (brand new) is 90 or less.

walrbos are suppose to be good for 500hp Lots of ppl use them w/o problems. I know a guy who has had them on his car for 4 yrs w/o problems...

He has stock 550cc preimary injectors, and 720cc secondary injectors probably..

I agree with I like to eat ricem about the IC effieciency past 12psi..

thanks

Thanks for the info. I have a question, is it possible in any way, to put the FD stock or upgraded IC on a FC? I would think as long as you have the piping, it should work. Anyone tried it? Thanks for the help.
