Fuel pulsation dampner removal
I took the FPD out of my car, and went to intall the Earl's banjo bolt that I ordered from Summit Racing. I was tightening the bolt down and it broke in half! I had barely tightened it and it just snapped. So, is this bolt not supposed to be tightened down very hard or what? The stock bolt I have in the other side of the fuel rail hasn't snapped on me and is very tight. Thanks for your help!

I was thinking of doing the same thing too. now I dont know. My luck it will get stuck if it breaks then wont be able to get it out. Thanx for the con on that banjo bolt through SR Ice Wolf. Any other suggestion or other brands work?

sounds like u just got an imperfect bolt. I would get another one (maybe just a run of the mill hardware style banjo) and install it.. I am planning to do this same idea in the winter while the car is asleep

really I was told the manifold has to be removed to do this?

Yea, I think the bolt I got was junk. I'm gonna call Summit about sending me a new one. I didn't even have the bolt tight at all and it just snapped in half. I was thinking of just buying a stock fuel rail and taking the **** off it instead of risking it just breaking on me again. It's not like the bolt was cheap or anything either, so they shouldn't be bad. Using a stock one sounds more appealing right now.

You cannot reach or get the proper torque on the PD to remove it without taking off the intake.

Luckily they had sent me two bolts by mistake.
The first one broke under light tightening (hadn't even completely sealed the crush washer)
Naturally with the 2nd one I didn't tighten it down fully.
Well the 2nd one leaked so I replaced it with a replacement bolt from a spare primary fuel rail.
