fuel problem

hey dudes

i recently did the 10w-30 to 20w-50 switch since im in hot weather, but the car is getting horrible gas mileage after the change (like half a tank for only 70 miles). a friend told me my fuel injectors need to be cleaned... (by the way i accidently added too much oil and had to drain some.) so i hope someone can give me a diagnosis.

thanks for your time!

try changing you fuel filters (one in the front and one in the rear hatch) and also your air filter if you havent already. How bad was your gas mileage before?

Doesn't really sound like it would be related to oil.

fill your tank and drive it 70 miles then fill it up and see how many gallons it took. Most turbos get like 12 miles per gallong. czu mine reaches 70 miles on half tank so i'm use to it and i changed both fuel filters and air filter

my car is an 88 gtu (non-turbo) so i should be getting way better mpg than this.

i don't understand.. it is such a drastic change! i'm afraid to drive it now!
