Fuel Injectors 87 S4
How many fuel injectors does the engine have? I can only see two visibly. People talk about primary and secondaries.. does this mean their are 4? Or just a primary and secondary port on 1 injector? I am about to replace mine and just wanted to order the right amount. I tried googling it and on the forums.

you need look at the door stamp and see if its 01-06 /87, or 07-12/87, as the later ones are a diffrent injector( impedence).
.....on sacond though, why are you replacing them? they only flow more fuel with age.. what do you think they are a spark plug? if they're not working(pulsing) then yes, replace them.

I am replacing them because they are dirty and not working properly. I believe one is stuck open. I have another thread on here describing my problem and everyone said my injectors were dirty or needed replaced. They run around 48 bucks a piece.
So what impedence would I need for a 1-06/87?
What impedence would I need for a 07-12/87?
Also are the primary injectors different from the secondaries?
Here are the rock auto part numbers.. will these work>
# 84212157 Primary?
#84212168 Secondary?? I dk..

take a multimeter and put it across the terminals of the injectors. What is the resistance? It should be around 2-3 ohms for low impedence and 11-13 for high impedence. Low impedence cars have a resistor box.

More Info: car is an 03/87. If I shut it off and restart after getting it fully warmed up the car will start then shut off. It will then start and shut off again. On the 3rd try the car will not fire just turn over.

I would get a fuel pressure test done based on what you said. , just because they car won't start and it's flooded doesnt point to the injectors, there are a number of things that can cause a hot start, but any car that fails a hot start will flood. unless the injectors are not pulsing or stopped up.

Do NOT just order low imp, ORDER WHAT IS IN YOUR CAR.
