fuel injector air bleed installation help needed (S4 turbo)
according to mazdatrix you need a top and bottom for a 88 S4 turbo model rx7....SO i ordered them. now the bottom one (picture attached, the longer one) is slightly angled. which way does it go into the primary hole? does it matter?? i got 2 small "o" rings supplied with the top bleed. is this all i need for "O" rings for the AIR BLLEDS ONLY? i KNOW i need them for the injectors. im just not sure how either of these are installed.....
http://mazdatrix.com/c-6.htm
thats a link to the air bleeds
part #'s
13-260A-N236
and
13-2610-N236
i looked in my haynes and saw nothing on how to do this and a search revealed nothing either.
someone lend me some help please?

The notches in the intermediate housing determine the location of the lower bleed with the mixing plate.
I believe if you take the upper bleed and offer the injector up to each end, you'll see that the injector will fit into just one end. I think that's the way things are. Maybe. Give it a try.

Yep, the notch will locate the lower air bleed socket's angled mixing plate for you.
The top air bleed socket will go in with the fully captured o-ring at the top. The other o-ring that could roll right off if it was at the top of the socket is installed down so it is held between the lower socket and the upper one

back from the dead
I'm not sure if I have a vacuum leak coming from these air bleed sockets on my 88 T2. I pressurized my intake to check for air leaks and there seems to be air hissing out from the primary rail area but it's hard to see. It may not be coming from the rail at all.
Does the grommet on the primary injectors sit against an o-ring on the air bleeds? Or does the injector sit against the "left" side of the left picture at the top, and thus the grommet would rest against metal? That's what it seems like when i pulled off my fuel rail. I don't want to pull out my air bleeds because I'm afraid they'll break.

Go to the SERIES FIVE Fuel and Emissions, page F-2-51.
The mixing plate is the lowest thing in the installation. Very lowest. Bottom.
Pay no attention to the words "Bewaring Folls". It means nothing and the scribe was fired a long time ago.
Air from the intake flows to the Air Bleeds. If you pressurize the intake, you put air in the airbleeds.
IN the attached jpg, right above the two oval primary intake holes is first a bolt hole and just above the bolt hole a small hole with VEE shaped grooves leading off to each side. Well the small hole is fed air from that nipple b/t the two oil injectors and the nipple in turn gets fed filtered air from the back of the throttle body. NEVER the bottom nipple on the back of the throttle body, but any of the other small nipples back there will do.
The Air Bleed Socket goes on only one way. If you put it on upside down, you'll know it . The grommet sits on top of the air bleed.
The Air Bleed Socket sits on top of the Mixing Plate assy. The actual *plate* in the Mixing Plate assy is on the very bottom once installed. Notches on the mixing plate are involved if memory serves. Goes only one way.
