Fuel Efficiency gone wrong?

Anyways as the title states after long long time i finally got my car title and insured (congrats to me for that) so i drive to the local gas station and fill her up put in about $34 dollars fuel gauge reading i think is correct its full so i drive around and show a couple of friends my car no farther then about 3 miles away car is running great has a ruff idle but thats ok anyways as im heading back home my gauge is always 3/4 of the way im only on my way back by the time i get home its 1/2 a tank im thinking to myself wtf is wrong with this thing???so i park it and get it reading for its first day at school (my school) i wake up at around 6 and head out to the car check out the car and turns on fine but when i get in the car i smell raw fuel so w/e i move up the car to close the gate behind me and i see a puddle on the floor so i go up to it real fast and check it out touched it and smelled it and smelled like gas (do i have a gas leak new the tank)? so i dont bother with it and get to school park the car and leave it at that (school is exactly 45 seconds away) after school ended at around 2:30 i head back to the car and turn it on gauge reads nearly empty?

Any ideas i dont have really any BIG mods nothing that would make the car run like that

720 secondarys
2 1/4inch exhaust
walrbo (i think)
and SAFC

its a 1987 Tii with an S5 jspec and ideas?

also i have no emmisions and that i know of fuel lines were replaced.

Thanks in advance

You must fix the leak before it finds a spark OR:

With a leak like that, it's going to be really easy to find.

With the car out in the open, possibly with an end jacked up, and fire extinguishers handy, turn the ignition on. Then, jumper the yellow "fuel pump run" jumper (I think it's in the front of the engine bay on the passenger's side). This turns the fuel pump on with the engine not running.

Search for spray of fuel. For that kind of leak, I'm guessing something's disconnected entirely or significantly split (fuel return line, maybe?).

most likely your injector o-rings, they seem to chunk very easly. ive had problems with them several times. i doubt its something major unhooked, cause a walbro will drain the tank in a few min(i know).

If I were you and school were only 45 seconds away I would have walked it. Check under the car for wet spots. Does it only leak when the car is running? Jumper the connector in the engine bay for the fuel pump and look for leaks in the engine bay.

You drove to school knowing there was a fuel leak?.... I'd rather be late to school hten have a car fire.... check the pulsation dampner first with a flashlight or something. then check the secondaries for leaks, if you dont find it by then your gonna have to pull the manifold. after pulling i'd recheck the pulsation dampner.
