Fuel cut off switch

Over the weekend I installed a fuel cut off switch and I read a couple of ways that the switch was used. Either using the switch to turn off the engine to relieve pressure in the fuel pump or turn car off (switch on), then turning it off before starting the engine and quickly flip the switch on when the car starts. From what I know, if you use the second method it won't solve the issue of flooding the car in the first place. Using a fuel cut off switch to turn off the engine is iffy to me. How are you guys using your switch?

Use the switch to kill the car. That way it will be easier to start the car since no Excess pressure has gotten to the injectors to flood it.The car starts "fresh"..
Turn switch on,wait for prime..start car..done!
