Here are a bunch of pictures of the pipe leading to the intercooler from the turbo

Where does this nipple connect to? It's on the back right side of the manifold.

And here's the split air pipe with my block off plate

The large nipple is for the relief valve in the acv. It exausts airpump air to a silencer(muffler) in the right front fender. I shoulda seen that earlier.

Its hard to tell. It might be for the EGR. Take the hoses off the yellow solenoid and blow smoke into the hose and see if smoke exits that vac nipple. This is a series four motor?

In the second picture from the top I see a metal object with vac hose going to it. It has a brass fitting on the top and one on the aft side. What is that?????? A blow off valve??

By the way, make sure you installed the check valve b/t the acv and the manifold and the gasket is good.

Is the brake booster pipe connected up to the large nipple on the back of the throttle body?? Probably is. Just checking. It looks like everything is put on right in the pictures. Looks better than my car (that's not saying much).

In the fourth picture down, you can see a steel braded hose. That goes to the front fender into the muffler that you were talking about. I attached it on the right side of the air switching valve. If i move it, there is going to be a large nipple connector on the right side. Anyway, the metal object you were looking at is the solenoid for my A'pexi AVC-R. It controls the opening and closing of the wastegate.

So you don't have a airpump??? The reason I ask is since you have a braided hose going from one of the large ports on the air control valve to the silencer in the fender, and nothing going to what was a mystery port, then it seems the airpump must be off. Nothing really wrong with that. The acv can't effect idle UNLESS the gasket is not seperating one passage from the other on the mating side. If the gasket was bad, then it could be a possibility that the passage that goes to the intake manifold is leaking air and causing an idle problem. I've no reason to think that is your case. You know what. I'd just take that acv off, get some gasket paper and cutout the outline of the acv. Then punch three/four holes for the attach studs and put it back on. That would be the same thing as making a blockoff plate. That way no air can leak at all ever into the intake manifold. And it still looks stock.

I switched the hose like you suggested and found that the large nipple that i had the hose on was blocked off. So i put it on the "mystery port." I still have my air pump, and it's hooked up. My acv does not have any sensors on it like the USA one. I took off my old sensors from the n/a acv, and i found that the J-Spec one doesn't even have threads to put them in, and the ports are blocked. Would the connectors going to the ECU from the acv cause the engine to shut down? The other thing i noticed is that when i put the ignition to on, only four warning lights illuminate. The "add coolant", the "brake", the "seatbelt", and one other one. Do you think that could be related? Is there any connector under the dash that is related to the idle?

Okay...here's the question of the century...If the fuel hoses are hooked up backwards...will there be air in the fuel line? Right now, there isn't any, and the car starts and barely runs before shutting off. If i switch the hoses, the car doesn't start, and there is air in the line. Does this show that it should be hooked up this way, and there is a fuel leak, or does this indicate that they should be hooked back up the way they are?

IF the lines are connected wrong, I don't THINK that there will be any flow in and out of the engine. Soooooo... using the key to ON and the fuel check connector on the right front fender area, take what should be the return line off and put it in a container. Momentarily turn the key to ON. Did the fuel flow? IF it did I ASSUME you have the lines connected up right. Never done that myself.

Do you hear fuel flow with the check connector installed? With the engine off???? You should. If it's connected up right(the fuel lines).
