Front wheel stuck on? Help!
Hey guys,
SO I'm taking off my wheels so I can get my new tires put on, I take all the lug nuts of the front wheel, try to pull it and it won't budge... at all....
Is it possible that it has corroded to the brake rotor?
Or is there something I haven't taken off that I need to? (like the wheel hub dust cover (metal one))
Any suggestions guys? I'd like to get this done today!

If you're kicking the metal rim, you're crazy.
I suggest kicking the rubber tire itself.  If it doesn't come off kicking it in one spot, rotate the wheel a little and kick it again.

Hmm.. no luck yet....
Am I gonna do any damage if I put a 2x4 across the outside of the rim (along the edge) and hit it with a sledge?
Any other suggestions? It's kinda hard to get to the inside of the wheel, but I may try later, and I can't lower it 'cause it's up on blocks and it would be a LOT of work! (it's VERY well supported )
Thanks for your help guys!
(oh, and this is the only one that is stuck on... lol... all the others came off fine, no stick at all... lol...)
(and I have single piston calipers up front ...(I was hoping....))

I had the same problem when I first got my 88. I swear to god they were welded on. First off, dont use the crappy stock lug wrench, you will probably stirp them.
I tried penetrating oil and it didnt work. I finally had to use a breaker bar, stand on it, and jump on it. I am SHOCKED I didnt break the lugs.. lol

i agree with everyone else...kick it real hard until it comes off. kick kick kick. smash the tire with anything you can get your hands on...i don't think anything will break but im sure, you could if you hit something in the wrong place hard enough

My friends 82 BMW had the same problem with his rear wheels....he took a jack that came with his car (el cheapo thing that uses a railing just under the side of the car to jack...the spinner type, come with alot of domestics), stuck it in between spring and wheel/tire, turned it until it popped off, worked well ...this way you dont screw up your rims with the BFH

Oops. I thought you meant you couldnt get the lug nuts off. You cant get the actual wheel off??? Wierd!
Umm... have you gotten under the car and kicked the crap out of the inside of the wheel?
Is it off?
