front strut bar

just put my FD alt on and now my strur bar wont clear it, is there any that will clear it? im thinking maybe the cusco?

By how much and where do it not clear. Simple answer is probably no; you could use washers or spacers under the mount points, but that would make the bar's contact less direct and effective likely.

it hits on the brace that hold the alt on place (the black one with the sliding bolt on it)


im thinking about grinding down the top of it.

my JIC bar is a similar style to the Cusco bar, it has plenty of clearance for the FD alt.

yeah i was going to say just lower the alt on the bracket enough to clear it and use a shorter belt if possible.

just dont ground out anything that shouldnt be :P i learned that the hard way

If forced to grind remember that a small increase in thickness causes a dramatic decrease in stiffness and strength. Roughly triple the percentage removed for small percentages.

my cusco bar clears the FD alt but rubs on the bottom of the hood.

the JIC magic bar has a nicer fitment it clears my FD alt and wont rub on the hood. i dont use spacers or anything.
