Front mount intake
Was wondering if anyone has ever done this. I have done this on my old avenger and did it on a few Hondas. I know getting a t engine would be better, but I wanna see what the NA can do. Heres my idea. I was thinking getting a front mount intake and mounting it with a aem bypass (incase it rains). Whats everyone think?

waste of time and money, keep the stock intake and keep the filter clean.
I have a 13b-rew swapped into my FC, since doing the swap I have had an HKS intake that sucks hot *** air from behind the radiator, a 3 inch mandrel bent pipe that supply's both turbo's via a y with a cone filter where the stock brake duct goes, and the stock intake with the same y pipe supplying the turbo's.
The stock intake performs just as well as the mandrel bent pipe intake. Minus the AFM the stock S5 intake will accept a 3 in pipe into the bottom of it with some slight massaging, and the scoop is bigger than 3 inches in area all the way along its length.
The HKS intake heats the air by about 40-50 degrees above what it is with either the stock intake or the 3 in pipe

Well wouldn't you think a intake in the front of the car would do better? See my problem is the guy that had the car before me took the stock intake out and just put a filter on it. I mean the way I was thinking the since the filter was in the front it would get cooler air and alot of it since I like to drive fast.

You'd be better off with a cone filter, cold air box, and vented headlight cover. Even that will only get you a net gain of 2-5hp, if you're lucky and use the better stuff available. I would know; I shelled out $90 for a vented headlight cover, $40 for a Mariah Motorsports cold air box, and like $30 for a MAF adaptor and cone filter. That's $160 for a couple horsepower. While I like my car the way it is, I think I would rather have saved the $160 and held onto it until I go forced induction.
If you want to see exactly what you can do with an n/a, you'll end up with an unstreetable car that will barely make over 200RWHP, if you're lucky, skilled, and rich.
