friggin tight

ok I was pulling the bolt off the front of the excentric shaft, the one that is soppost to be torqued to 90 ft lbs, well I broke my flex handle. I loaded the engine in my dads car and drove up to canadian tire. they tried there impact on it but no go. next I took it to mazda and they tried there new impact on it that they were like ohh this will get it no problem. well still no go. so next I took it to the local kenworth heavy duty shop and they tried there 600 and some ft lbs impact on it and after probably 30 secs of given er it finally broke loose. now do I have to worry about the front of the shaft being hooped or anything cuz of the 600+ ft lbs of torque on it. I sure hope not but thanks

next time loosen it slightly before unbolting it from the car, or if the motor is already pulled, use a torch to burn out the loctite, then loosen.

heat helps WONDERS.

You don't even want to know what I tried
well you do, because its a funny story.

Tried with a breaker bar. Didn't work. Eventually broke the breaker bar.

Got a new, beefier breaker bar. Added a 8' pole. Applied enough torque to bend the pole.

Got a thicker pole. Attached pole to 1998 cavalier. Put cavalier in reverse, mashed pedal to the floor. Made a nice smokeshow, but the bolt WOULD NOT MOVE.

Got torch. Heated bolt for maybe a minute. Grabbed ratchet, bolt came off easily.
Swore a bit.
