Free s5 for me
That's right, I got a free 1990 n/a coupe white with black interior. Last owner bought it from a friend because it was burning oil apparently, he took the subframe, tails (put his 10AE tails in its place) and a couple other parts and parked it in the back yard of his girlfriend's aunt/uncle's house and left it there. A little over a year later I was towing it out.
Here it was originally before I started working on it.
Subframe was missing, suspension was all taken off, and the rear end wasn't hooked to anything really. So my friend (RXSevenSymphonies on the board) and I undertook getting it prepped to be towed out of there. We got a broken subframe for free and slapped that in. We were not concerned with alignment or camber or anything, we just wanted it out of there. Check out some of the later pics and you'll see some JDM camber going on That's mainly because we hooked the wheels up just enough tog et it out of there and onto a flatbed without screwing up the 5-lug/suspension parts.

And here it is on the way home. At first I'm following my friend in his dad's truck, but he eventually lets me by so I can start taking pics. The rest of the pics are via my camera phone, so excuse the quality of some of them.
And here it is getting taken up the driveway. (camber is awesome)
Here it is sporting 1 TII spare, 2 n/a coupe spares, and 1 96 mustang spare

And this is RXSevenSymphonies on the board watching it get put on the side of his house.
It's home! And it's dirty as crap as you can tell.
But we did give it a little bath. Notice the paint disappeared some more? Well someone repainted this car and boy did they do a shitty job! On the way home it was flaking off while on the tow truck too.
Well that's all for pics. This was my first free rx7, but hopefully not my last. RXSevenSymphonies has already gotten 2 free rx7's himself, 1 TII with 185k something miles on it carbon locked, but ATF fixed that. It still has its issues, and leaks, and well shitty motor, but it'll be rebuilt soon. He also got an auto 88 GXL with a fucked over auto tranny. This car I got is being the donor car for a manual swap into the GXL, he's taking the flywheel, tranny, and driveshaft. The motor is my next project for my GXL. It'll be a partial bridgeported s5 n/a with TypeI stat gears, oil mods, and lots of other fun stuff. I'm also taking a few misc pieces here and there and then parting out the rest of the car.
Thanks for looking

where do you guys get all of this room to store your donor cars?

My house had no room because we have my mom's porsche, my dads durango, my rx8, and my rx7, plus nowhere on the street to park it, so his dad was nice enough to let us borrow his space. But we only have brief time with this car, that was the deal
EDIT
Here's where he normally parks his 2 rx7's, at least lately he has. And that's my rx8 next to them

oh, and what condition is the black interior in?

planning on taking a trip up to washington in about a month so if it is good lemme know and i may make arragements to pick it up.

The only way I was able to get this car is if I used his dad's house, and his dad let me under the condition that it is gone in 2 weeks and I give the tranny/driveshaft to RXSevenSymphonies

Now that being said, though, the rear carpet is very dirty, and the front looks pretty bad. It'll need some cleaning and possibly shampooing to get it good again but like I said 2 ppl want it depending on condition once I remove it.
Dash is being used by me since my current black dash is just dyed, there will be some various panels left over if you want them, but not a whole lot. Seats could be cleaned, center large dash vent is still up for grabs, door panels are gone, console is gone... hmm I think that's it.
PM me if you are interested in any of those parts.

Nice find! I got a free GTU (He wanted 300 for it, but later changed his mind and gave the cash back after seeing the crap I was going through...pulling motor/rebuild etc. It was a friend of a friend.) also, it had a blown coolant seal... (Well alot of the walls were gone for the coolant passages inside so that motor was toast.) I just got it back up and running last week with a new (to the car) mazda reman. Can't complain for freebe's thats for sure.

It was running when parked and ran perfectly but burned some oil for unknown reasons. I'll get some interior pics eventually but it's pretty nasty But it had no clutch MC or battery, or brake fluid, or brake lines hooked up... so I didn't even bother getting it up and ready to run, I just towed it.
The good thing, though, is that everything is cleaning up BEAUTIFULLY in the interior so far. I pulled the rear carpet and most everything vacuumed up/off of it, all the mold inside just brushes off and completely cleaned with simple green, so this is all good.
What is really interesting me so far is that the engine stuff looks SO new. The electric MOP looked PERFECT, the MOP lines look to be brand spanking new. Most the time MOP lines can be britle as ****, when I removed mine on my s4 the lines shattered in my hands, but these are still very flexible and bendable, and in great condition. All the vac lines were brand new and in very good condition, new gaskets, new everything. And to top it off the engine has had the irons painted blue and the housings black, so I'm wondering what might have been done to this engine. I'll find out when I crack it open

I have 1 N/A rotary, and this 2nd one I got is for a s5 core motor to build a bridgeport out of and part out for $$.
Turbo is later, if I care. I already have a low 14 second n/a on my current motor/port setup, and this new motor will have better porting, more mods to it, and be tuned a lot better and I'm hoping to be in 13's with it, but we'll see. I just need to find someone to remap my ecu for me so I can take advantage of the TypeI stat gears and porting I'm doing, want to go to 8-9k rpms hopefully.
Turbo is nice, but it's not everything. If I'm not happy with n/a and 13's then I'll go turbo'd n/a.

dDub, that is not a repaint job. That is factory and that is the **** all of us with white paint is having to deal with. The adhesion primer back in the late 80s was changed to a new formula and quite a few factories bought this Adhesion Primer and used it. The problem is the bond breaks down over time and oxidation leaches under the paint. Now the paint has nothing to bond to so it just flakes off.
And you know if the engine is painted somebody has already gone through that motor. that would explain why the lines are so supple.

Yep it's beautiful! This car was in such good condition until it was parked and left to die! At least everything in the engine bay is almost new

Don't care too much about the body, there was too much damage, too much missing, and too much that needed fixing and me with not a whole lot of free time, especially with summer quarter at college and this engine build, so I wasn't worried about trying to get it back on the street. It's suiting my needs just fine
