so i live in tampa bay/ st pete area Florida. i am offering who ever wants to help me in the right direction free food and some money.


my car has so much wrong with it i just dont know how to begin
its been abused and im trying to give it some tlc
1988 TII
needs a rebuilt i know for sure.. smokes so badly
recently someone tried hotwiring it but cut wrong wires??? small red/black and a blue wire
alarm has never worked for me but worked for them

i also have some shocks and springs to put on it but dont have the tools

idk im just upset and would like someone to stop by and take a look for me

Lol it's not as great as its made put to be.. And thats not being mean I want to learn my car inside out I've briefly read the manual. I don't want to be spoonfed I want to be told what I needa do on it first.

I've tried diagnosing my semptoms but some have many problems with the same semptoms xD

Just wanted to say hi and welcome another fc driving girl. I like to try and figure out some things by my self but you have to know when to start asking questions. I try to find the answers and get the info but for the manual labor part..... guys are great.

I bought it as a project car and now I don’t have time.. Life has become a total hell but I didn't come here to bitch so about the car.

White smoke pours out of it pretty badly upon cold start.
ghetto fabbed air intake.. Like zipped tied into place and air vent taped because of a ?crack? I assume.
Inside lights don’t come on? Not positive why but I believe it’s just a connector.. Never bothered to confirm
Chassis is rusted to fuckville. The driver side front spring and shock are shot. I can go 59 without it jumping but once it hits 60 its bounces like crazy
In the back of my block there is a spark plug filling a hole
I think the turbo is shot because it won’t boost even at 7k… thanks to my cousin I found that out T.T
Tranny is pretty nice it has a little trouble shifting into 1st and second.
Clutch sticks to the floor I think it’s the slave cylinder
When I picked it up I gave it a oil change and the oil was blacker then night and the oil filter had gunk in it. No creamy color or thinness though
Dead battery. New alternator. Have trouble starting. Don’t think it’s the starter though
Someone tried hotwiring it and failed because it still key starts.
Doors are good door handles are bad lol
Security system goes off when it wants too
Happened to go off for the crooks
Minor cosmetic damage. Bad paint. Minor dents.
Hmm I believe that’s everything.
I picked up a shell with a tranny pretty much.. Guy said it was a turbo but I have a feeling he lied like a rug. He said (after he dropped it off at my house) it sat for 10 plus years… so pissed about that because in the ad he said it only sat for 10 months great body though and excellent chassis. Parted out the driver’s front fender everything else is still though just mix matched color wise.
And when I say a shell with a tranny I really mean that. No motor no pumps/ belts/ gas tank/ etc.
All the cosmetics are there

All in all though I can't take on this project. I'm sorry. Breaks my heart if that means anything.

just a little update for those still interested

i have a love/hate relationship with my rx7
it always breaks the day after i fix something on it.. lol
it's my first car and i've never fell in love with a car before
i don't want to get rid of it but, my boyfriend convienced it's the best thing to do.
i'll be starting school in august and we plan on moving out so i'll need a reliable source of transpartion.

i'm currently looking into miatas because that's what he has and we have all the tools for them. plus they get great gas... i envied him when he would fill up every other week and i was filling up every four days xD.

but back to the car
with everything listed wrong in the previous post whats your best guess on how much i would get before i fixed the slave/ and after i fix the slave and upgrade the clutch and pressure plate to a stage 1 or just stock?
