It's not bad, i like the color and the graphics aren't bad for a show car (i wouldn't drive it with the graphics). It's becoming popular to do wild things to the exterior and interior of the car for shows i've noticed. As long as it's not all stock under the hood I'll say it's not complete rice...except for that wing.

i'll definitely look into that
well Ecko and 86 drifter has a point... we don't need to be rice polices
well 9 out of 10 people in this forum like clean looks
i mean i like mildly modded cars (except cars like Apexi FD, Blitz Skyline)
i'm sure no one will call those rice....
and i think saying rice is fine, but do control our emotions

well, people get mad and say rice this or rice that because "typical" rice kids thinks import cars are about neon lights, 20in chromes..... if u noticed Toyota and Honda made the Celica and RSX somewhat higher and has more room for 18s.... well, i don't really like the attitude of the ricers sometimes as they do "pass by's", has that MEAN look on their faces, and have bad attitudes like, "i bet i can smoke ya at 1/4" man.... THEY need to give us a break....
fast and furious i'd say is no-where near (well, some part) the "IMPORT" culture.... but like me, when u see 2 or 3 fast and furious eclipses around my area, and they think they are fast.... boy u'll feel it....
i'm not saying that we FC drivers or racers have a specific culture, but well, people who appriciates rotary, people who drives "drift cars", and even european cars comments and are nice about it when they talk about cars or even race.... and i respect that, people wave at my FC, some AE86 guys will come up and talk, friendly talk and stuff....
so i am not going to flame them (too much), but if they give us the respect, we'll give them theirs.... and not like "my SOHC Vtec will Smoke ya" (trust me, i've heard that before)

Car modification culture differs from country to country, and you'll find that USA, UK, France, Germany, Japan, etc. all have different ideas as to what would make their car look cool. Even car enthusiasts within the US can rarely come to a consensus as to what would look cool, so please, saying something is fugly or rice or whatever wonderfully negative descriptions you can come up with when it comes from another country, whose people may very well find it cool, is just immature, foolish, and doesn't really demonstrate that you are capable of higher levels of mental processing. If you saw some big mean biker with a harley and it had chrome all over it and custom art and flames shooting out of his exhaust, would you go up to him and say, "dude, your bike is fking ugly" or "man, that's so rice"? No you wouldn't, coz his culture (biker/hell's angels/whatever) is totally different from yours, and you gotta respect that.
2) if you've played video games like Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 (which is sort of based on Japanese highway racing culture), you'd know that changing of rear tail lights lens to make them light up in a different colour is quite a popular (albeit street illegal i think) modification. Some people think it's cool to have rear brake lamps which light up white or blue. Whether this is hazardous is other drivers or not is a topic for a different debate. you can call it stupid, dumb or whatever, but bear in mind that throughout history, regardless of where you come from, male youths have never failed to demonstrate their propensity for foolish behaviours.

to really understand the how and why that car was done up the way it was the best way is to speak with the owner. what determines rice the most is attitude, for a perfect example look @ pic attached. the attitude "I have a 6" tip muffler, and a huge wing I'm fast" is rice. there are lots of people around here like that. I think what ruines the Import car culture alot, is big budget movies with no real grassroots understanding of what the culture for the adverage person is like, or close to. as shown in F&F. no where have seen or heard of 1/4mile to one mile of cars containing spectators pulling up to watch a streetrace of four cars. I think F&F did a better job at being more true to the culture in 2F2F, other than one or 2 really hollywooded Dukes of Hazard style shots. the bigges mistake of F&F is trying to make a "24" storyline, in a streetracing culture. as far as my area, "rice" wasn't a problem until after the first F&F movie.

imo i think the s5 doesnt need anything to make it look better. and if it does look ricey its from japan and that means your gonna get killed by a ricey looking car. the s5 if one of the only cars i could leave stock and love the looks. american rice and japanese rice= completly different cars

man i dont think thats an external wastegate.... why would you do that? if hes really going for a fast car then he would realize that adding more pipe would just make the car even more heavier. that and if it is functional wouldnt you think it would be up closer to the engine bay?
