I got the tempo alt for 140

If I can remember right mines for a 1994 2.6L V6 tempo, both are pretty much the same but the V6 one looked like it'd fit better, if I recall that is. Or I got the 4cyl. If anyone wants clarification just let me know and I'll try to find the papers

Ok, as I was finishing the write up, some bullshit error on my Microsoft Word program occured and closed the program, deleting ALL the information I had written... I'm very frustrated right now, but I will begin to make the write up again. Sorry for the delay, I wanted to insert the photos and have it up by this afternoon....

I've had Word crash on me after hours of college papers were written. I feel your pain!!

I'm looking forward to your work as my FD alt is on its last leg. This will go a long ways towards helping me decide.

How accessable are the Tempo alts? I've never looked at a Tempo engine, but for fitment I'd be willing to head to the local junkyard and ****** one. If I find it will fit I'll buy the high output alt I linked to.

It's very frustrating having all your hard work disappear in seconds. But **** happens.

I havent seen any Ford Tempos at the junkyard I frequent, but I have seen a few Ford Escorts. They have the same alternator. The 1992-1994 2.3 4cyl Tempo. and the 1991-1996 1.9 4cyl Escort. I got mine off an Escort and it took me less than 10 minutes to remove it. It is very easy to remove, the only trouble I had removing it was how to strategically move the alt and the hoses in the way. I was being lazy and didn't feel like removing the things i didn't need to get. lol

No sense doing work you don't need to, removing stuff you don't need to. I asked simply cause I've seen some engines with the alts in hard to get to areas. Junkyard trip is my weekend plans. I just want to have one in hand and size up if it'll fit under my TMIC.

Yes, I mentioned that I don't know if it will fit a TII with a TMIC on the write up. So if anyone installs it on their TII I would appreciate their input ion fitment.

And I do know some alternators are in ridiculous locations. It took me about 6 hours to replace my sisters on her 2000 Mercury Cougar. I had to loosen the subframe and take out the right axle to get to the alt... This was with a full shop and a car lift...
