fog light removal

Anyone know how to remove the fog lights on a s5 rx7??

Any help would be appreciated, I've taken every thing off and the light will not come out.

if you are trying to remove the foglights from the mounting bracket their are 2 phillips screws that usually rust all to hell that you have to remove them b4 you can pull the fog lights out. then just unscew the back cover and lift the litlle metal brace to remove bulb.

You can replace the bulbs. They're H3.

Ha, Figured it out. the little metal pin, you have to push it in and up, then pull it out. It hooks in a little slot.

Mine won't take H3. Are the H3's that you are referring to the ones with one cord coming out of them?? If so, does your factory plug have one or two inlets?

I know that a h3 bulbs with the cord coming out will work. their is a write up on them explaing how to re-wire the new h3 bulbs so your stock housing with 2 pins will work..I want to put PIAA 110Watt hyper white bulbs in mine so i will be doing the same thing soon.

I wouldn't put anything bigger then 55 in.... probably blow the fuse or melt the plastic lenses

mightymouseOx,

to get to the fog lights, you have to pop up the head lights to get to them. there is a plastic cover over the back side of the lights. There is one bolt that you have to remove(9mm, I believe). that part will most likely break when you pull it out, but it still fits back on. You should see the wire assembly, unplug the "plug", unscrew the black "thing", pull out the white connector. then you will feel a metal pin, this is kind of tricky, it holds the bulb in place. push it in, then up, and it should open.

then follow the above link for instructions to get the H3 bulb to work.

Has anybody put 100w bulbs in?

you will need to rig the wires from the bulb to the connector.

umm all you need to do is undo the 2 screws in the front and the whole thing pops out of the bumper.
