Flywheel stopper tool scan needed!
I want to make a couple of these for the man. trans. cars. I'll send one free incl. shipping in North America.
Would 3/16" SS or 1/4" Mild Steel be enough? Laser cut O.K., or is this something that needs to be forged or cast?
The scan would have to have a ruler or something so I can double check scale.
BTW, I can't sell these due to patent laws, but will share the drawing for the list.

Hmmm, thought they were more. But then again, I can make some for free, and I'm not very busy at work. I'll send you and anyone a couple if you want, free incl. shipping if you get me that scan. Thanks again.

I should be home from school tomorrow. I placed my order from Mazdatrix a week ago, so hopefully it will be waiting on my arrival. I have a scanner I can use, but I dont know if its to scale. If I scan it next to a dollar bill, will that be doable?

What can I say... a piece of steel is nice and'll work. So will some chain and bolts, but it would be nice to have a replica of the Mazda one. I looked at the mazdatrix one, and it isn't even similar. Obviously, they have patent issues to deal with. I'll settle for the Mazdatrix scan, but the Mazda one would be ideal. I wouldn't be able to sell either one anyway.
I like the Mazda one, because it seems you would flip it to use it for NA and turbo. I'm working on Plan B, if I can leave work early enough, and try to borrow one from the dealer.
Shainiac - put a ruler beside your tool. Don't have any dollar bills handy...just some loonies (Canadian dollar coin)

Impact works great to take it off, but I always have trouble torquing it back one. The first time I dit it, I used the tentioner for the smog pump and put the flywheel peg through one hole and a bolt in the rear iron through the other. i DONT recommend this as it can randomly fall of, or worse- break of a peg. I think I can manage putting a ruller next to the thing for refference.
