Well evern since I had my car (3 years ago) there was always the slight flood problem.
Left the car alone for more that 2 hours and then I had to do the unflood trick. Till ofcourse I found out the easier way under the dash.
The floodign actualy stopped over the winter.
Then it came back, and lately it gettign VERY VERY BAD.
I mean it only takes like 20 mins now. And sometimes I unplug the fuel pump and let it run out, and it still migfht do it when I go to turn it back on later (unless I'm not doign the right steps)
Anyways, wahts the REAL solution to fixing the floodign.
I've heard that you need to replace the injectors, but when I asked the Mazda parts dep. a few month back about injector cost, he said that the injectors raely go bad, and its normaly the seals arround it that go.
I've also heard of people changing them, and the floodign still continues?
Any one have any suggestions?
Also, whats the right way to do the cut off switch thing?
I know I flip it off to turn the car off, but are you supposed to flip it on BEFORE or After you try to crack it back up??

How many miles are on the car? I suggest you get yours cleaned by RC Engineering. Its only $25 per injector, and they have a 24 hour turn-around time. That would be the REAL way to fix the problem. Or buy new ones. Replace all seals too. Its nice insurance.

1. Compression Check
2. Injector cleaning
3. new grommets and seals
IMO ATF is not the wonder fix for every problem as some would have you believe.
Get a sound baseline to start your troubleshooting.

Low compression engines flood easy also. You might want to check the compression. Old spark plugs can also make the engine harder to start which combined with the leaky injectors and a low compression engine can cause real headaches.
