Exclamation Flooding

well my car floods pretty bad. if i drive like anywhere i have to wait like 4 hours for it to start. even if i take out my egi fuse and crank and then put it back in it just wont start. ive came to the conclusion that my injectors went bad. i really dont see anyother way that my car can be gettin too much fuel.

if anyone agrees or disagrees you should let me know because it would really suck to buy new injectors if thats not what i need.

My guess is a leaky injector. Send them to witchhunter.com for cleaning.

I sprayed a giant bottle of carb cleaner through the large vacuum port on the intake manifold while the engine was running. It helped, but I can't say it really solved anything. I now hold the throttle down when starting and it has been running good for a while, but that doesn't really mean anything. Check your plugs & wires, try some fuel injector cleaner in the fuel tank. Pray alot. Only stop at drinking establishments so that if it won't start you can just have another beer. Also, a small hose and a bottle of ATF fluid pumped into the same large port on the intake manifold( about 2 ounces) will almost always get it started, but you will have a significant amount of white smoke from your exhaust for several minutes.

I hope you find this helpful. My 7 has given me problems on occasion, but I've ALWAYS gotten it started. A jump start battery thingy is almost a necessity in these cases being as you have excessive engine cranking. I can pump some ATF into it & get it cranked pretty quickly now that I've had some practice at it...HAHAHA
