i think that paint isn't important, but performance is.... people will look at a flat black rx-7 and think "wow thats a real piece of crap" then when you leave there 4 cylinder tiburon sitting, they will think different....

and plus... if you have a car that looks good, but you get beat by a flat black crappy looking car, it would kind of be worse because it would make you ashamed... lol....

flat blacj is a cool concept but youll hate it after a while, its not only hard to keep clean, but the more you clean it its going to buff it shiny (i am a finisher by hobby, used to do it as a job)
One of my guitars is flat black, and the areas that my arm and hand rest on it are now almot completely shiny, i've had it almost a year and a half and i never clean it, just dust it off when needed,, going sraight to a supergloss black with all the orange peel taken down and polished up real would look even cooler, i guess it up to you how often you want to paint the car (if i ever get my dodge charger, id paint it flat black like the one in the Blade movies, badass car)

I would not get a MAACO (not maako) paint job. The previous owner of my car got a maaco paint job the last time they painted the car. I just got my car repainted and the shop that i took it to complained so much about having to sand off the maaco paint job. Basically what maaco does is paint over the old paint. It is terrible, when they repainted my car they said it took way more time than average to get the paint off. Whats worse is that they could tell that it was a maaco paint job the second that i drove up because of the way it was flaking . IMHO maaco isn't even worth $399.

Rollin' coal and 53mpg!
Krylon Chalkboard Paint. It turns any surface into a chalkboard, and turns grown adults into children.

Ya, I figured it was because of SCC. It actually started on their Project Silvia, then they decided to do it to their STi. I think its funny how people like to jump on the trendy bandwagon. People are stupid.
