First t2, need advice on downpipe.

i just bought a 1988 t2 and its totaly stock, i used to have a 1986 gxl modded to the fullest. i need to know a good downpipe to put on the t2, any one? and is there anything else i should be doing to the car to make it just that much better? i am transfering all of the other stuff from my gxl to the t2, like wheels, tires, suspension, brakes, bomex sides and rear, racing seats, you get the idea. PLEASE HELP thank you in advance

Thunder Fabrications makes a nice one if you want to ditch the Cat too. I bought a used one from a forum member for $40 shipped. Not sure which brand, but it's very nicely made and 3", made me hit fuel cut like a champ.

RamCon, that is the wrong downpipe. It's intended for the RB Full Turbo Back Exhaust and will not bolt up to a stock exhaust.
http://www.rx7.com/store/rx7/fcexhaust.html#Turbo2 - scroll down to the "Bonez 2.5" Downpipe". That's what you want if you only want to get rid of the precat and keep the rest of your stock exhaust.

The racing beat downpipe/ presilencer combo replaces the stock cats and bolts up to the stock, or racing beat, catback.

:-) that'll work like a champ as long as you don't have to worry about emissions.

I have the 2.5" Bonez DP that only replaces the stock precat pipe. When the exhaust was completely stock I saw maybe a .5psi rise in the boost. I'd suggest there will be a HP increase though.
