First Ride in a T2.....

Why oh why did I accept a ride in my freinds new T2 why? I went over yesterday to his storage shed where he is hiding his T2, waiting on the day he can tell his wife he bought it and bring it home.. It was my first time in the seat of a T2 that was actually running well.. And now I am ruined for life. I don't think I will ever be able to drive an N/A and think it is fast. I had a pretty highly modified N/A and the T2 felt about twice as fast.. That's it. I'm done. I must own a turbo'd car or I will die very sad. DAmnit.

It must have had a few mods. A stock TII can't outrun a decently modded NA.

It feels fast because it has a higher maximum torque.

Same thing happened in me. I had a highly modded n/a, then I went for a ride in a high 12 sec t2 and I pulled my n/a motor the next day.

That's true... the PC is more complicated technically, but much more powerful and useful in the long run.... hehe, J/K

I have an 87 TII running 10 psi and an 87 N/A. After riding in the TII for a while, then getting in the N/A it just feels....wierd. 3500 RPMs comes around and you expect to feel this surge of turbo power, but nothing happens. I never realized how slow the N/A was till I got my TII.

I've got a TII and love the way a turbo feels, but I also like modded NA's. My buddies streetported NA may not have that boost coming on at 3500, but it's got a nice surge from about 6700-8000 that snaps your head back!!! My TII runs out of steam long before then.

Another RX-7 owner "Seduced by the dark side"

I should explain: The dark side is manifold pressure above zero.

that happened to me last night. i rode with a friend who has a fully done up T2 with a microtech pushing about 300rwhp....this is my first T2 ride

now ive ridden in fast cars before.....best friends 350rwhp mustang lx 5.0 and a friends Z06 (both of whom r too loaded for their own good).....and the T2 has a different kinda of speed. the stnag and vette r more stable definitely for straight runs. the rex seems like u can go as fast and still turn on a dime.

after last night, i never appreciated the handling performance of an rx-7 as much...now i do. oh yeah i have been seduced to the darkside as well.......oh well....time to nitrous my N/A (its a daily daily dialy driver, turbo will make me poor)

After the first time i got my Turbo II running i stoped drive my 87 na fast, it was just to slow for me to care. I love my t2 now, NA feel so much slower, i wouldn't even want to drive the na anymore.
