does the car seem to lack any power? does it happen happen as the engine is accelerating or right as you let off the gas? have you checked to see if your throwing any codes?

PepBoys is full of dumb asses. It took me 1/2 and hour last night to convince them that the light bulb they sold me was the wrong bulb for my car. You're better off getting answers from the members here.

its possible that your car is in limp mode, although it sounds like your car is still driving the way is should. is it? only 2 things can put the ecu into limp mode, if failure to the MOP occurs or (i dont remember the other one there should be a green clip in your engine bay around your battery. It has a single wire going into it. Ground the wire onto the car body or battery and turn the key on, not the motor, Your check engine light should flash according to what codes your ecu is throwing. There is a rightup on FC3Spro.com about. I dont have the link at the moment, try doing a search for code pulling and it should come up. hope this helps a little -alex

If I'm not mistaken, they're supposed to pop after a high rev and a quick letoff on the accelerator... I know mine goes *pap* *pap* after some hard acceleration to 8k and a power shift.

usually the car will pop after heavy accel. They sell diagnostic code retrieval systems for about $80, that you can pull codes off your car and consult the manual to see what the code is. You can get them at any parts store.

If the check engine light is on you need to pull the codes! The ECU will tell you what's going on.
