ok before anybody disses my piping just remember intercoolers use the same damn piping as i used so dont give me any crap about how its soaking up hot air cause i believe that air is moving way to fast for the piping to heat it up... here ya go tell me what you think.. also im not entirely done i still have to take the brake ducting and remold it to where it will still have an underside where that part of the fender is to keep the filter out of the elements and protect it from other stuff but thats later not today

the engine bay from a distance:

a close up:

as you can see the filter thru the brake ducting:

Excellent. I thought on account of the pop ups that you couldn't follow that route. I can't remember all that much admittingly. With my East Bear Headlights I am able to allow tons of passage with my soon to be Installed GReddy FMIC Kit and an air Induct ending to the Brake Duct.

I don't suppose you have any pics with the Bumper off, do you?

in order for water to sucked into that filter it has to be at least 2/3rds under water. even then it will only be a fine mist of water, sorta like a aquamist kit. all you people dont need to worry about water getting in.

looks good - nice and simple. the ultimate would be to take off the TB adapter, trace the outline and make the holes for a template. then drop it off to a local machine shop and have them fab you a nice thick adapter with the correct size hole. then bring it to any local exhaust place with the piping you'll be using and have some pipe welded and bingo, no more plastic in the intake. I've always wanted to do this but now I have a TII motor with a GReddy FMIC

Short of trying to ford a river, the only way water is going to get into the engine is if you can make it flow uphill.

no i dont have a water bypass on there because of all the comments about water.... where im at i dont ever drive in any water more than 2 inches deep.. and if its more than that i dont drive at all because there are so many bad drivers around here im too damn scared too... thanks guys i appreciate the replies.... im getting a new filter for it though the k&n that is on there is too long, im gonna get one of those new ones that have the concave top to allow better airflow

no i did all the work with the bumper on... but im getting a new bumper one day and will more than likely take lots of pics then... i used a plasma cutter to cut out the hole so nothing was removed heh and all it took was 10 seconds... nothing like cutting metal smoother than butter hah

thanks man... it feels wonderful though it is a bit rev happy but thats also cause i ported the TB (pic below)... the most noticible power is in second gear... i mean it hauls *** compared to the stock setup... the rpm guage jumps around so much faster... i love it and the TB mod is nothing but success for me.. no hard start ups or bad idle or nothing now that i got that good AFM

Fantastic work man...I like it. How does it sound...is it very loud to you. How is the top end...that's some pretty long *** piping , I'm sure the mid range and low is pretty damn nice. Anyway great work man; keep it up!

Yes, I would be VERY interested in a write up. I definitely plan on doing something very similar to what you've done on my future rx-7 (next week perhaps).
