Fiero Fan.. Whats needed
i went out to the junkyeard today looking for electric fans... i looked at the Fiero and Ford Torus.. i think thats how u spell it... anyways i saw the fan and didnt see any wires with it.. i was wondering what wire i needed to pull with it? if any... and if anyone has pics of the fan installed.. any help quickly would be great! thanks

i have.. i just need to know if i need the wires that come with it? but nm i will probally get the premacool fan.. seems to be the best way to go! thanks for the search comment

Yes, it really helps. Your engine is no longer losing power driving the stock fan. And you won't get a whole buncha extra space if you put the shroud in, which you SHOULD if you want to get it right. Read the link I posted.

i just had no idea.. wether it came with a temp thing or not or if everything was built in.. thanks anyone have pics of what one looks like? i went and i saw one it only had a small square thing with 2 metal posts in it? it that all there is?

This is gonna sound totally evil, but - how can you have almost 500 posts and not know this ****?
When you buy an efan, you usually get just the fan, which is the motor and the fan blades, and the plastic 'surround' which the fan is mounted to and which you use to mount the efan on your rad.
The motor will either have wires coming out of it or a plug receptacle (if some jerk has snipped or walked off with the plug that should be in it.) Your critical move is to make sure you hook up pos and neg properly. Otherwise the blades will spin in the wrong direction and the fan will have a hell of a time trying to cool the rad.
If you get one with a receptacle (which sounds like what you described) then you'll have to run a wire to each post.
The link has a write-up that tells you which wires on the Fiero fan are pos and neg. If you get a fan from a different car, you'll have to find out which is which. Hooking it up incorrectly won't kill the motor. It will just make the motor spin in the wrong direction.
If you're not sure how to start, just mount the fan to the rad with plastic ties and run one wire to ground and one to the pos terminal on the battery. Does the fan pull air out of the rad and across the engine, blowing towards the back of the car? If so, you've got it right. If not, switch the wires cuz you've got the pos grounded and the neg connected to power...
To get a thermostat, you'll have to go to a parts store. Even Canadian Tire, but I wouldn't recommend them - all their stuff is crap. Find some performance shops - not everyone carries the same stuff and not everyone prices stuff the same.

I know sfa about alternators. I'm taking it to a local shop that specializes in automotive electrical work. I get all my 4 and 6 gauge wire there, and the shop always has BMW and other high-end Eurotrash in there (once saw a Lambo in the corner.)
