Field AFC on a rotary?

Field AFC on a rotary?
Does anyone have experience installing/using a Field brand AFC??
Since they are also a VTEC controller, I'm guessing you'd have dealt with it on a Honda/Acura.
I am wondering if it is possible to control fuel in 2nd gen (series 5) using one of these?? I briefly had a chance to look at the wiring scematic the other day, and think it **might** be possible.
There are dip switches in the back that can be set for different appicatins, apparently.
I'm also thinking about how the Apex S-AFC is a universal unit designed to work with many cars- instead of dip switches, you set the type of air flow sensor. I **think** on the S-AFC, honda/acura and rotaries are set the same in regards to that parameter....
Anyway, as my rebuild nears completion, I am researching a way to control my VDI electronically. One of the easiest ways to kill two birds with one stone is to use a fuel/VTEC controller, with the VTEC changover output being used to control the VDI, probably through a simple relay/solenoid circut.
I am open to using the Apex V-AFC or the Field unit, but it jsut seems the Field unit is a better choice becaus of cost and its compact size.
So give me your input and maybe we'll break some new ground here...

Here is what I'm referring to, in case people weren't aware (see attachment):

From my understanding, once oil temp/pressure reaches a specified level in a VTEC engine, the VTEC solenoid can then be actifvated, causing the higher cam to come on-line.
What I would like to know is:
Does the VTEC controller send a positive or ground signal to the soleniod in order to activate it?

Actually, Ted, that is great news! I do have some questions:
How did you set your dip switches?
Will they be different for a N/A vs TII?
Would be interested in how it adjusts fuel..
Does it only make AFM adjustments at partial/full throttle? I believe the Apex unit can be programmed for part AND full throttle maps??
Under low/no load conditions, will the factory ECU's closed loop operation take over?

4DIP bank - all UP/off
This should work for turbo or NA.  It should guarantee work for the 1986-1988 Zenki FC's, and it might work for the 1989-1991 Kouki FC's also.
