I see two little red x's. Whom did you get the FD alternator from? If you got it from silverrotor you most definately need to talk to him about this. He is a great guy and I am sure he will get you through this. If you did not buy it from him, hmm... why not? Lol.

Seriously though, you need to talk to the guy that shipped it to you and explain the problem. If I could see the pictures I could offer you advice on if it is replaceable/fixable.

kind of blury, silverrotor has a FD upgrade. It seems to be a great deal an your alt wont have a crack in it either. At some point Higgi will have some cool pullys for the FD in a FC app. (I assume this from his survey a while back)

If you use that in its current condition, you have to be sure that the metal exposed from the cracked plastic does NOT touch any other metal in the car. If it does it will short and spark and other not so nice stuff. If you are pressed for cash i would electrical tape the broken piece back in place, ensure no bare metal is exposed, and call it a day. Of course it is generally better to replace broken parts. :-)

you can completely removed that arm and directly connect it to the base (with the nut on it).

Becareful on how you do that. Make sure it doesn't short.

After dual shipment my FD alt suffered a little incident like yours there. It works fine. Its plainly cosmetic. But like they siad up there don't let other metal tought the exposed part of the POS terminal on the alt.

That crack sustained Is just the Insulator. You could follow the prescribed suggestions, or just simply swap out the L Post to your former Alternator and you'll be set.
