Fcd, Why So Bad?

This guy I know who has a Rx7 like me, keeps telling me to take my FCD off my car cause it will blow my engine, and says I should get an HKS Fcon instead. Now the FCON, costs an arm and leg, and my car is running fine with the FCD, so why does he keep saying it SO BAD for the car? I'm only boosting 10-12psi with bigger secondaries (680cc) & Walbro Fuel Pump...so that should make it safe enough right?

he doesn't know what he's talking about. the Fcon has a fcd built on to it also..........if it's so bad why is he telling you to get something else, that uses the exact same thing you're supposed to be getting rid of.

You are going to start a whole heated debate on this subject...

Personally, I find no problem with your set-up.

Anyone who recommends an HKS PFC F-CON doesn't know that an A'PEXi S-AFC is a superior and cheaper option...

Does the S-AFC have a built in FCD? Or would the FCD and S-AFC be used together to achieve some more safety with a slight boost up?

Nope, you have to go with a seperate one. The second sentence is correct.

Thanks. That's what I thought. I'll probably go that route one of these days.

Plug n Play??? Does that mean a FCD runs on Windows? And if so, is it using the 9x OS or the NT OS????

Just kidding
