Reliability depends a lot on the previous owner(s) maintenance habits.

Personally, I would not call the 13bt a very reliable car, but when well maintained it will run a long time. Be wary of high mileage though, like 150k miles is a lot on the enigine and turbos.

Do a compression check. Just do a search for compression check on the forum, it will tell you what to do.

Warm up the car, take off the rad cap, and make sure that there are no bubbles in the coolant. That could mean the coolant seals are going.

Make sure the turbo spools and does not hesitate.
Make sure the engine does not smoke blue or white during hard acceleration, after the car has warmed up.

Easy to fix? fixing stuff on our car is not the problem. its diagnosing what's wrong, and getting parts for a good price (at least in canada...)

In general, when unmodified, the fc3s are VERY reliable. Although a high maintenace car, they have proved themselves to be highly reliable as opposed to our counterpart piston engines.

Having a Turbo sacrifices a tad bit less due to the Immense heat that It generates thus taking It's toll on the motor. The Turbocharged Rotary Engine doesn't last aslong as a Naturally Aspirated engine though.

Hey CrackHeadMel, are you all right? You look like you are going to pass out not to mention you look like your user name Implies.
