wow! this is coming out great!
here are a few things that i notice incorrect.. and im only telling you since you seem to really want to get this perfect.... and i respect that.. otherwise, i wouldn't nit-pick this great rendering
1. the window weatherstripping is actually recessed all the way around the window about a 1/2" on bottom, and about 1/4" on top... whereas yours is protruding out further than the body
2. the rear needs more work, but i see your getting references to fix that, so no more input here
3. the mouldings on the doors are too fat.... they seems to get thinner right behind the door.. and where the moulding meets the rear wheelwell seems to be about right on the sizing of it (in post #419 pic #2)
4. as for the side skirt area..... i think the reason it still looks off is because on a real rx, it doesnt end abruptly, it actually smootly curves to the undercarrriage... unfortunatly, my harddrive crashed, so my thousands of reference pics are all lost, but im sure someone has a pic of the bottom area of the sideskirt
5. just as i said on the sideskirt... the rear area of both the front and rear wheelwells, also smoothly curve into the wheelwell.. a perfect example of what i mean in the pic on post #422 pic #2...... you can see the smooth transition into the well, and the extra body line that sweeps out from the wheelwell towards the bottom

I think the body looks wonderful, but the rims, although well modeled, are a shame. I think going with the stock look for the body is the best choice, but I would do the same for the rims.
All in all, great job thus far. A few tweaks and you're pretty much done.

A google image search of rx-7 rims comes up with a billion different results. So if someone could tell me the name of the rims, or give me some straight on reference, as well as some perspective - I could do it.

Do you have the name for that rim? And also do you have a straight on view of it? It has to be as close to perfectly round as possible for me to make it easier.
I found them all in the FAQ.

when you get it finished i'd love to get a 3d model from you to apply a fluid flow analysis on the car. See where we could look into adding some down force hehe

I've said it before, but my model will not be nearly accurate enough to the real car to get an accurate reading for this. If you're wanting something like that you'd need a 3D Scanner, which for this project would probably cost about $200,000.

What kinda background should I build for this? I'm leaning towards the construction/industrial zone. Not foresty at all, that would conflict with a different part of my demo reel.
