Actually now what I NEED is cars in pieces, the body primarily is already down. It's now my job to detail each individual part from all angles so that I can use the model in any kind of situation I need.

Eventually one of these days I will be getting a TII hopefully, I don't even have an NA however. And with this model I will be able to make any changes I wish to before I spend the money on it. I could also develop my own parts. :p

I'm at school finally so I will be working on it on and off for the next 4 hours, expect updates.

UPDATES:

Fixed part of where the hood scoop and the hood meet, looks better now.

The door lines are now half width on the sides that were suggested, however it made an error with how the window matches up with it, so I have to deal with that before too long.

The sunroof is now depressed into the top of the roof, still have to work on the headlight covers however, they are still very jagged. Thanks for all of your support and your comments everyone. I look forward to being around these forums and showing off my RX projects for a while still. :p

It's really starting to come together man! Looking good. FTP lens look really good. The opening to the scoop needs a little bit more curves and you'll have it straight.

As far as 3ds, yes it is 3ds max 2008, with a light tracer render.

Now, as for the S4 - I like the S4 taillights, I prefer them to the S5. I'm the artist. Don't doubt me. :p lol jk

I could build an S5 version however, it would be a bit of work however.

Look for some more updates hopefully tonight, depends on how much I actually have to pay attention to at school tonight.

The problems with car models is the fact that if you want a good detailed piece of actual ART done, they do not show you the amount of details you need. Unless you want to spend $50-200+ on one model, which if I had that kind of cash, I would be spending it on a broken down real one.

Suggest rims you like! I need pictures like this however:


Straight down, sideways, etc etc, no angles preferably. If there is pictures with angles, include them as well, because that makes my job easier, however - the only required is like that one.

If you want, draw it! Come up with an original design, and I'll 3D model it!

Tell your friends, get people here - I'm letting you guys take over what I should do for a bit.

Ohhh I like those, I might try to model those if the Advan doesn't turn out very good, because that's quite difficult to model actually.

Here's some pictures of the scoop to give you a better idea.

I've put a blue line on the floor of the scoop, this is the dividing point where it stops following the curve of the hood and becomes level with the ground more or less. You can also see the shape of the the scoop itself is not so square.







Also here is a shot of the rear to match yours, so you can see where it needs a little adjustment. The hatch glass frame is straight across the back with no upward curvature. Hopefully, you can see that in these shots. Also, it shows the correct font for the MAZDA emblem. Please let me know if there are other angles/shots I could take to help you.

I do see what you're talking about with those sections on the hood scoop, and on the back window, I know what to fix now - hopefully I'll get a chance to do it.

As for the font, unless I can find the correct font, I have to hand-edit the original text, which that is a real big pain. So, if someone can find out the actual font name that Mazda used, or if I could get that from someone, it would help a lot.
