1MZFE, do you know where I'd be able to find high res blueprints of an S5 RX7? If not I guess I'm gonna have to make due with the S4 prints and do the bumpers, sideskirts and mirrors and stuff by eye.

Wonder if 1MZFE is still working on this? Not to jack the thread or anything, but I started mine, haven't done much on it though.

Where did you get the "background" images to work off of? I was getting bored with things and thinking of doing this.

Honestly they haven't been that useful, since I'm making an S5 version and have to do the bumpers by eye anyways. Good for basic shape, but it seems like I'm eying the rest out.

Sorry to have been sidetracked for like the past... ummm...2 years? But I started college, and have been working rapidly on graphic arts of all shapes and sizes.

In December I started learning Autodesk 3ds max, and so I decided to take a stab at the FC model in that program. Here is what I got after 5 or so hours of work.

Hey- he's back! Starting from scratch, I see?

Front fascia looks much better, but now your front marker light openings are a bit wonky- they are more squared off than that, but overall dimentions are good.

Glad to see you back at it!

Yeah I know I have a bit to do to work on that, it will be done eventually, I still need to detail up those.

I finally had a class in 3D modeling, instead of just learning it on my own. So I realized I knew jack ****, and started over. I'm glad that people remember me at least.

I hope that this model will turn out really good, and I can put it in my portfolio/demo reel, and get a job with it.... haha

I shrunk my desktop size in half to make it easier for people to see, but I was wondering. How curved is this circled area on your FC's?

Bring the top of the FTP lights down a little. They seem too tall to me...

Yeah, it's called college. And then realizing in college that you used to suck at 3d modeling, and learning how to actually do it.

And now I'm BACK!
