You're just going to have to trim it, or massage the fenders dude. You have to do it with most body kits, especially knockoffs!

Im surprised thats the only issue, lol

What brand is it?
I cut the fenders, but some people just fit them over the stock fenders, have you removed the molding and side marker?

It was such a pain in the *** when I installed the Shine replica FC2000 bumper on my car. Don't get me wrong... I absolutely LOVE how it looks. I removed both moldings on each fender. I know exactly what you're saying about the particular part you're referring to. I plan to just have them molded. If that doesn't please me, I'll cut the fenders. It comes down to your personal preference.

And make sure you fully bolt it up when you think you are done test fitting, dont rely on holding it onto the car

Back then there really werent hids being used. But the person selling the bumper gave you everything you needed, lights, brackets, parking light, lens covers, etc

i have always wondered if someone could build a HID kit that would work with the bumper/lenses. i know that the fc2000 bumper is notoriously dangerous in terms of the light output.

i just dont see how a hid kit would really work and have a decent cut off line without a housing.

you could probably fit HID projectors in there, back then no one had anything to offer

I put the lights in the bumper, some people would cheat and mount them on the car, issue with that is it really brought the lights far back and made the lighting even worse

cant say I know how this setup works because like jwtek said- the owner never finished the car. He literally had it under a car cover for 5 years straight after it was painted

do you have to remove the actual bumper to mount the fc2000?

That is what I did... And then I moved to a town that has a "super cop". :-/

It is a bumper that replaces your bumper... Like most bumpers. And everything associated with the pop-up headlights must also be removed.

Refer to pic #1 that Rob posted above.

He actually moved it in to his garage a few years ago, we put the motor in, an he basically put everything together. his radiator was leaking and needed just alittle bit of wiring and now it just sits at 98% done... He did have a FD he worked on in the mean time and had a pretty bad accident in it soo idk post some more pix rob

I just got my hands on a FC2000 mold, so I'm going to make one up and roll with that. I'm thinking of using these: Susquehanna MotorSports - Auto Performance Product or the regular halogen equivalent.

Then using some really good fog lights to fill any void down low. I won't be doing too much night driving, since the car is going to be mostly a track day and summer car, so ultimately it's just for piece of mind.

The same retailer also sells $12 brackets and the lights come with normal adjusting screws, so that combined with some slight fab work should make mounting a breeze.

Ah, you mean the actual bumper support? I removed my bumper support. At the time it was interfering with my FMIC and piping. I'm also interested to hear if anyone has actually kept it.
