That sounds like the same retards that are on here saying the stock wing is functional, but one of the big bolt on wing isn't. Maybe the dumbasses that say that should ask Carl how that wing works on his car.
this is stupid. I was about to go into the physics of it, but instead im going to ask you to do some research on wind drag and frictional coefficients.

So your going to tell me that wing won't provide any downforce on the rear of the car Kent. I have done some reasearch on this stuff before, since it is very interesting to me.

I can talk about things like aspect ratio of wings, angle of attack and all that BS, but it doesn't matter.

Nice grammar :/
In answer to your question the dip in the center if that particular wing is far too great to provide decent downforce. And the section that tips upwards near the lateral center is going to disrupt airflow resulting in greater drag. Go ahead and test my theory, find a windtunnel and pass the mounted wing/car through. Or better yet find one of those detail shops that still have the retro fan that blow dries the car, test the spoiler in that. I say if you dumb enough to think that because you have $200 to burn you have a PhD in Aeronautics with a minor in Physics, you deserve to get ripped off.

MAYBE it's not the size of the wing its how it's shaped :O
Never figured it would ya? And for the record, a few of the stock spoilers are functional, while minimally so it still proves some support.

Give me some money to rent some wind tunnel time I guess we could just ask in2twins how it works out once he gets his car on the track. Or some of the professional racers that seem to be putting these APR wings to good use.

if your gonna get a big wing, buy it from a company that actually does research, IE: RE Amemiya sells a wing that sticks up by the roof, its functional, but will cost you over 1000$. dont expect to get a good designed wing for 150-300$, those are just for the ricers that think they do something for their FF cars. they could do a little, but spend it on something functional.

The stock "wing" doesn't provide downforce. It is a spoiler that reduces drag.

I looked at the site that APR wing is over $1000, they say it is wind tunnel tested and what not. And I did find a few pro race teams that are using the wings on thier cars.

And back to teh topic, TylerRD, search for the name in2twins in the 2nd gen forum and you will find Carls widebody race car. He uses that exact same wing.

YourSport Drift Wing

That's the YourSport drift wing. I have one on my 7 as well. I like it a lot... just a little bigger then stock, but not enough to be gaudy...
