FC Turbo II front clip question
I have the opportunity to buy a Japanese import front clip with a twin turbo engine in it, and I would appreciate some quick advice. It has about 50K miles on it, the seller has no idea what the compression or anything is, and although it's advertised as "startable", it's stored in a commercial warehouse where they'd frown on me starting it up to check it out.
So, is there anything I can do to check it out without actually starting it, or what kinds of things should I look at to try to decide whether this is worthwhile? I'm assuming I can take a battery along and at least crank it over, so would a cold compression test tell me anything? Any other thoughts? Also, what would a reasonable ballpark price for a front clip be?
Thanks,
Steve

I believe the 13b-re has a twin turbo =) Cold compression test should be fine and look for anything suspicious...of course, as far as price I couldn't tell you..check flashoptions.com for their price I know I saw some there.

dont use flashoptions as a comparison. they have a horrible rep. use www.venus-auto.com for a comparison. look for goodies on this clip also (aftermarket/performance) this will affect pricing sometimes. i'm sure the twin turbo series does not just "bolt on" make sure you know what your buying and why
