I just sold my FD in favor of the FC. I owned my FD for about 2 1/2 years and put a lot of money into it. My reasoning behind my decision was that the FD was just too expensive to own. I figured I would never get where I wanted with the car. I'm planning on building a mostly track car with my FC. I think the FD is a more capable car and has more potential, but not by a lot. Here's my old car.

You cant deny the FD though.....its sleek lines.......its mean stance......timeless......if only it was as reliable stock as an FC......i have an FC and want an FD, but i wanna keep both. I figure i can daily drive the FD after some reliability mods, and cheaply build a monster FC

I was literally sold on an FD before the FC. Even after I got an FC I sometimes had doubts. After spending some time (and money ) I can say that feeling no longer lingers.
that is correct, an FD is a better car regardless of what anyone says. This is independent of styling, interior space etc. Please become informed before you try to "call me out" If you can't find the necessary reasons on the forum, PM me and I'll elaborate.

You're telling me to become informed with your massive 45 post count.

I didnt call you out, but it would make sense to include reasoning before making such a bold comment.

Edit- Maybe bold comment is an understatement but basically saying whatever anyone else says is bullshit and only you are right.

Is that the depth of your elaboration? Not bad, took you all of 2 minutes to think of it, as im sure the original post didnt take much more thought then that either.

if the money is going to be tight, FC by far. But, I think that if you will be making good money and need the killer street car, it's time to step up to the FD and get a daily driver (WRX?!?) to go with it.

As for a full track car, a FC would probably be a better option due to it's cheap price.

People choose different cars for different reasons.

A couple of reasons to choose the FC over the FD:

1) Financially. The price to obtain a FC is far less than a FD.
2) In the car show circuit, the top award winning RX-7s are usually FDs. Choosing a FC would be different.
3) Some people like the styling of the FC over the FD. Just like how some people like vintage clothing compared to newer stuff.

This is somewhat the same reason as to why people choose a R32 Skyline more than the R33 or the R34. The R32 is a more raw race car. It is the one that started it all. It is far lighter than the newer cars too.

Does this satisfy the reasons why people MAY choose a FC over the FD? Or should I now state reasons why people may choose the FD over the FC?
